Chaddsford Winery is thrilled to share that our 2015 Artisan Series Cabernet Sauvignon has placed among the top 10 wines at the annual PA Wine Excellence awards.
Over 90 wines from 21 wineries were submitted and reviewed by a panel of highly-qualified judges in November.
The exact ranking of the top 10 wines will be revealed during a PA Wine Society ceremony on January 27, 2019.
Winemaker Jim Osborn remarks, "This bottling is the result of the collaboration with our good friends and wine growers extraordinaire Karen and Tony Mangus at Historic Hopewell Vineyards. Eighteen months in Pennsylvania and French Oak barrels yields a wine of extreme character and finesse."
This wine has not yet been released for sale, but when it is, look forward to traits of black currant, black cherry and black pepper – balanced with a lean acidity and soft tannins. Enjoy the wine alongside blue cheeses, marinated ribeye steak, mushroom stroganoff, and dark chocolate.
